About
Editorial standards
The rules this site holds itself to, so you can hold it to them too.
What we will and will not do
We answer before we ask. No page requires an email, phone number or name before it shows the answer and its source.
We separate fact from inference. A date that comes from a rule is shown with the rule. A question you still need to verify is shown as a question, never as an answer we guessed.
We never tell anyone they are entitled to a program, never steer toward a plan, and never rank plans. We never use countdowns, scarcity or fear. We do not call ourselves independent, unbiased or official.
Free public help — Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE and California HICAP — is on every page and never below any commercial option.
Language
Every page exists in every language this site offers, with the same dates and the same rules. A translation that has not been reviewed says so in that language. We never fall back silently to English.
Written Chinese on this site does not mean Mandarin- or Cantonese-speaking staff are available anywhere. The local help page says which services offer which spoken languages.
Accessibility
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard access, visible focus, 18-pixel body text, large touch targets, print-safe pages, and respect for reduced-motion settings. Automated checks run on every build.
